Recycling

While the old pipe is on the spool it can be handled as an industrial by-product but once removed it becomes waste and requires a waste disposal license. With everything on the spool recyclable we offer customers a free disposal service where KOBUS Services will collect a quantity of filled spools, replacing it with empty spools. We will then recycle the pipe and cable. Alternatively customers can recycle the lead and cable themselves and re-use the spools themselves.

Guidance as to the best way of recycling the pipe and cable is available from KOBUS Services along with all the technical specification of the KOBITE once hardened.

Environmental impact was of great importance in the developing stages of the tool. The KOBUS Pipe Puller aims to minimise the carbon footprint of removing and replacing a pipe and waste disposal was at the forefront of this aim. Our recycling programme is specifically designed to deal with heavy metals whilst at no point damaging the environment.
