The KOBUS Pipe Puller is the creation of Kobus Cilliers. The owner of a plumbing contracting company in the West Midlands, Kobus invented the Pipe Puller when he saw the opportunity for a different way of replacing water supply pipes which would save everyone time, money, mess and disruption.

He developed the system and has pending patent protection for the method and apparatus in many countries. In addition, the constitution of the KOBITE resin is a trade secret and KOBUS Services Ltd has an exclusive worldwide agreement on its use.

The Pipe Puller is the second invention that Kobus has brought to the market. The first is now a widely used system for lifting manhole covers.
